MANILA -- Mindanao and Visayas as well as Bicol Region and the province of Palawan will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to shallow low-pressure area looming east of Surigao del Sur, the weather bureau said on Sunday.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the LPA was estimated at 295 kilometer east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 3 a.m. Sunday.
It advised residents to be alert for possible flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon or “habagat”.
Localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rain showers in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. (PNA)
