This province conducted coastal and barangay clean-up drive in 236 barangays in 11 towns and one city on Saturday in line with the celebration of the International Coastal Clean-up Day.

Under the theme “Ikaw, Ako, Tayo... Bahagi ng Solusyon sa mga Basurang, Itinapon”, various agencies of government sent representatives to assist in cleaning the coastal areas as well as the barangays.

The participants were divided into smaller groups and assigned in specific sites unlike before where big number of government and private workers converged in one area and did the cleaning in a long stretch of the Bataan coastline.

Residents actively participated too. Before, they only used to watch the clean-up campaign being undertaken.

In Barangay Capunitan for example, a fishing village in this town, villagers and police officers joined hands in the activity.
