Residents in
Surigao del Sur in Northeastern Mindanao (Caraga region) went into panic when a 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck at 6:18 Wednesday night, disaster council report on Thursday said.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Northeastern Mindanao however said that there were no reports of damage or injuries as of press time.
OCD said the undersea epicenter was located 90 kilometers, at a depth of 78.7 kilometers south-southeast of Hinatuan town, in
Surigao del Sur.
Two earthquakes were already felt in Northeastern Mindanao this month.
