Earthquake in Surigao
« on: January 29, 2009, 12:19:50 PM »
Residents in Surigao del Sur in Northeastern Mindanao (Caraga region) went into panic when a 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck at 6:18 Wednesday night, disaster council report on Thursday said.

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Northeastern Mindanao however said that there were no reports of damage or injuries as of press time.

OCD said the undersea epicenter was located 90 kilometers, at a depth of 78.7 kilometers south-southeast of Hinatuan town, in Surigao del Sur.

Two earthquakes were already felt in Northeastern Mindanao this month.

The Philippines sits on the Pacific “Ring of Fire” where continental plates cause frequent seismic and volcanic activity, geological and volcanic experts said. - PNA

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
