DTI-2 conducts orientation on 2017 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index Survey
TUGUEGARAO CITY, March 2 (PNA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-02 has conducted an orientation on the 2017 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Survey in Cagayan and Isabela.
DTI-02 information officer Manilyn Ponce on Thursday said the orientation aimed to deepen the appreciation of local government units (LGUs) on the importance of the CMCI Survey in advancing the level of competitiveness of each LGU.
Ponce said that part of the orientation was the discussion of the pillar on “resiliency†and additional indicators.
She said the participants were members of the Regional Competitiveness Committee (RCC), Business Permits and Licensing Officers (BPLOs) and City/Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (CPDCs/MPDCs) in the region, representatives from the academe, and representatives from Department of Tourism (DOT), Negosyo Coordinators, and some DTI region 2 personnel.
The same orientation and workshop will also be conducted in Batanes on March 17. (PNA)
