Press Release: The Turnover Ceremony of the DOLE Intergrated Livelihood Program (DILP) was held today, March 9, at the Ground Floor of the new Ormoc City Hall, wherein the beneficiaries are the members of the Mahayag Women's Association (MAWA) that consists of 27 wonderful women, led by Gloria L. Demano.
Accordingly, the main products that will be produced from the processing center of the said women's association are camote and banana chips, cassava chips, chicharron, and coconut vinegar from coconut fresh wine.
Funding for the necessary materials and equipment that were given to the same association were sourced from a Php 485,410 assistance from DOLE, through the efforts of our good City Mayor Richard I. Gomez.
SP Member Hon. Lalaine Marcos, SP Member Atty. Nolito Quilang, Fe A. Estrella the head of DOLE West Leyte Field Office, and Josephine Hermosilla the manager of the Ormoc City PESO were also present on the said activity.
