ALICIA, Isabela - An overseas Filipino worker has expressed remorse after he repeatedly stabbed to death his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s mother last weekend in Barangay Paddad here, police said on Sunday.

Bernabe Astacio of Solano in Nueva Vizcaya stabbed dead Catherine Galamay and her mother Liza Galamay. He also stabbed Catherine’s father Saturnino but survived with the timely treatment at the hospital.

Astacio said he was irked due to the news that his girlfriend would get married in April.

He said he was sending money to Catherine while working as seaman, which she spent for building a house and buying a lot. The two women sustained stab wounds on their chests, rib cages and back while Saturnino was stabbed on his stomach.

Astacio was charged for two counts of murder and one count of frustrated murder.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

the victims certainly didn't deserve such grisly ends, but did they really think they could get away with hoodwinking someone who did not only invest his money but also his emotional life and his future with them?  maminyo na man lang diay ug lain, nganong gidawat pa ang sustento.  aray!
