Cavite offers relocation, cash assistance to public market fire victims

ROSARIO, Cavite, Dec. 16 (PNA) -- The local government of this municipality has offered a relocation site and cash assistance in a form of a loan up to Php50,000 to businesses in the public market that were destroyed by a fire Thursday evening. The blaze was declared a fire out Friday morning.

Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente and Vice mayor Jose Ricafrente offered the site beside the municipal hall for the relocation of the businesses destroyed by the fire. They also offered the loan from Php 20,000 to Php 50,000 for the owners to continue their businesses.

Provincial Chief Fire Marshall Superintendent Jerome Reano said the fire started at 9:25 p.m. Thursday and was declared fire out at 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Damage to the dry and wet section of the public market was estimated at Php 15 million with no casualty. (PNA)
