Cavite Crime
« on: January 23, 2011, 03:00:26 AM »
After nearly a week, the man suspected of raping and beheading a 19-year-old woman in Cavite is now in police custody.

Southern Luzon police director Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao Jr. said his men arrested Cezar Catipon, who had been at large after the incident.

"Nakuha na natin ang involved doon ang pinugutan ng ulo, nasa kustodiya na natin ito (We got the man involved in this crime. He is now in our custody)," he said in an interview on dzBB radio on Friday.

Pagdilao did not give further details on Catipon's arrest but said the suspect faces charges of rape with murder.

Earlier reports linked Catipon to the brutal rape and beheading of Mary Jane dela Vega, 19, in Magallanes town in Cavite on Monday.

Dela Vega's companions were quoted as saying a drunk Catipon blocked their path at about 9:00 p.m. Monday, and took the victim at knifepoint before raping her. – VVP, GMANews.TV

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
