IF THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has three suspects in the killing of British businessman Anthony Nicholas, the Task Force Nicholas (TFN) has three to four.
TFN was formed by the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office.
Negros Occidental Police Office (Noppo) Director Manuel Felix who heads the task force said they had invited some individuals for questioning at the Sipalay Police station.
Based on the investigation, the police have come up with three to four suspects, two of whom are still in the province but are no longer in Sipalay City.
The task force is thoroughly investigating the motive of the crime and it does not discount robbery, land conflict, and personal grudge angles among the motives of the crime, said Felix.
He further said the caliber .38 revolver recovered from the position of Claro Barcoma was already subjected for ballistic examinations and they are still waiting for the results.
Barcoma was also questioned by authorities about his possible participation to the crime. He is still detained at the Sipalay Police jail after he was charged for illegal possession of firearms.
A certain "Nonoy" was also invited for questioning, said Felix. (Teresa Ellera-Dulla)
