ASIDE from jai alai, another numbers game called "Basketball38" is now rampant in Negros Occidental, said former Manapla Mayor Manuel Escalante.
Escalante said "Baskteball38" has a betting pattern almost similar to the Small Town Lottery (STL). It conducts a draw three times a day: 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. It also has two winning number combinations out of the 38 numbers up for betting and the bettors are provided with betting slip.
Escalante said "Basketball 38" has a betting station in Silay City and is applying a business permit for its betting stations in some other towns and cities in the province.
Escalante also said betting for Bastkeball38, which carries the name of the Philippine Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) on its betting slips and betting stations, is not supervised by Pagcor.
In a video uploaded in TubeTube, Basketball38 entices bettors that their P10 bet could make them an instant millionaire.
Basketball38 is reportedly run by PhilWeb Corp, the lead technology enabler of state-run Pagcor, whose core businesses include e-games cafes, Internet sports betting stations, mobile phone gaming, and online casino gaming.
