BASAK Barangay Captain Vicente Dayanan called on Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes to rehabilitate the drainage system along the Mandaue North Road, following the heavy flood that struck one of his sitios early Saturday morning.

The flood that affected about 150 families in Sitio Riles was triggered by the rush of water from five neighboring barangays during a heavy downpour, Dayanan told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday.

These barangays are Cubacub, Pagsabungan, Canduman, Tabuc and Casili.

Dayanan said the water from these barangays spilled over to the sitio because the drainage along the Mandaue North Road could no longer take it in.

The water-soaked sitio is a low-lying area, said Dayanan, who rushed to the area early Saturday morning to check on the situation of the affected residents.

An open canal, Dayanan said, is presently being constructed, in a joint effort among Barangays Basak, Pagsabungan and Tabuc. - source: Sun Star
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
