DTI CHIEF ADDRESSES PH-CHINA INVESTMENT FORUM. Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon M. Lopez gave a speech on “A Strategy for Closer Philippine-China Relations” at the Philippine-China Investment Forum recently conducted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Philippines at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Speaking before 500 guests at a packed, standing-room-only hall, Sec. Lopez urged for greater foreign direct investments (FDI) in the local manufacturing sector as one way to further enhance the economic relationship between the Philippines and China in the wake of increased interest by Chinese investors after President Rodrigo Duterte’s state visit. Also present at the event were National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director-General and Socioeconomic Secretary Ernesto Pernia, the Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua, the Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Sta. Romana, and former Special Envoy on Trade and Investments to China and now Consulate General to Peru Francis Chua. (END)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
