GIVING PRACTICAL LIFE LESSONS to my attentive audience on a Sunday afternoon:
1. Don't easily trust people because people disappoint. Instead, trust in the higher power.
2. Work hard because money (or the dog food) doesn’t grow on trees.
3. Always, always be useful. Don’t be a dead weight. (In short ayaw pagsalig sa uban)
4. Willingly PAY YOUR DEBTS. Don’t try to impress your family/loved ones by buying them random stuff out of the money you borrowed from people whom you don't have the intention of paying back.
5. Practice Minimalism. Live a simple life. (In other words, ayaw pagpaka-naa ug wala ka)
6. Buy less stuff. Prioritize your needs.
7. Invest in the right people. Your time, money, effort, and feelings are precious resources and should never be wasted on a**holes.
8. Be kind to mother nature.
9. Don’t let people guilt-trip you when you don’t allow them to use you.
10. BE KIND BUT NEVER ALLOW PEOPLE TO ABUSE YOU
