Philippine Army Entrance Examination

The Mobile Testing Team of the Philippine Army Personnel Management Center (MTT-PAPMC) will administer the Pre-Entry Examination to interested applicants for Officer Candidate Course (OCC), Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) and Candidate Soldier Course at the University of Mindanao in Matina, Davao City on Dec. 12-14, the Army announced Wednesday.

Lt. Col. Kurt A. Decapia, public affairs office chief of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, said that interested applicants must satisfy the following basic qualifications: baccalaureate degree holder, natural born Filipino citizen, height of at least 5'4" for male and 5'2" for female, single and is not supporting any child, no pending case in any court of law, physically and mentally fit for training, between 21 and 25 years old on the date of admission at the OCC, and with pleasing personality and high scholastic records.

Decapia also said that for OPC/CAD, applicants must be commissioned as 2Lt. in the Reserved Force (inactive status), baccalaureate degree holder, natural born Filipino citizen, height: at least 5'4" for male and 5'2" for female, between 21 and 31 years old on the date of CAD, no pending case in any court, physically and mentally fit for training, and with pleasing personality and high scholastic records.

For Candidate Soldier Course (CSC), applicants must have earned at least 72 units in college for both male and female, high school graduates should possess technical skill highly desirable for acceptance in the military service, at least 18 but not more than 22 years of age at the time of appointment, 5'4" for male, 5'2" for female, physically and mentally fit, single and has no child, and no pending case in any court.

Decapia added that pre-registration for the examinations will be conducted at the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1 on Nov. 27-28, 2008 and applicants must present the following documents: Original NSO (National Statistics Office) birth certificate, marriage contract of parents, transcript of records for college graduate/level and diploma for high school graduate. Walk-in applicants during the exam day will not be entertained.

Decapia further said examinees are also required to bring the aforementioned requirements during the exam day along with their valid ID, pencil #2 with sharpener and long brown ordinary folder. source: PNA
