It is interesting how people in the Philippines generally think that the people in the 'states are usually 'datu'. Dili pood na tinuud, daghaang kastanan dinhi na pobre pobre kai dili sila kaibao mo manage ilang spending habits. Na wa' ilang imperatives sa ilang everyday life, na wa ilang faith, na wa ilang dedication to family kai ning pick up sila sa 'false gods' of money, spending, drinking, gambling, etc.
Ning ingoon ahong ina-han nako, "Work honestly, live simple, be humble, be God-fearing, and you will be given good graces". And I try to live by that day by day. Though I have my own sins and faults, I do try my best to emulate the humility and honesty of my parents.
NO matter where we are, there will always be the rich and poor. Materialistically speaking.
Those who do not eat of the Bread of Life or drink of His blood---shall feel only emptiness.
