Field Operations and Equipment Manager

Coral Cay Conservation (CCC) is offering a fantastic opportunity to get involved with a successful international NGO helping to conserve the world’s coral reefs. Work, live and dive in incredible and challenging locations.

Role:
A full time position for a technically minded and qualified person to service and maintain all SCUBA and other equipment on all CCC’s marine projects. Current CCC Projects are based in Tobago and the Philippines.

Salary: Negotiable

Essential Requirements:
· Qualified SCUBA technician including cylinder testing. ASSET technician preferred.
· PADI Dive Master or equivalent
· Generally competent in the maintenance of a variety of engines and electrics (preferred)

Preferred Requirements:
· Bauer Compressor Service technician or equivalent.
· Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
· Experience in Risk Assessments
· Experience working in developing countries

Please note all expedition staff must be Criminal Records Bureau (Enhanced) checked and passed for working with young people before expedition departure.

Duties and responsibilities:
· Maintenance and servicing of all CCC expedition equipment including but not limited to: scuba regulators, scuba cylinders, general scuba equipment, compressors and boat engines.
· Expedition Health and Safety including project site assessments.
· Ensuring adherence to CCC policies.
· Overseeing maintenance, repair and ordering of all CCC expedition equipment in consultation with the Expedition Leader and Director of Operations, including the preparation of inventories and maintenance records.
· Provision of advice to CCC Directors regarding expedition equipment.
· Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, diplomacy and loyalty to CCC at all times.
· Complying with any reasonable directives issued by CCC line management.

Additional technical training may be available to the successful candidate.

CCC History:
Founded in 1986, Coral Cay Conservation Ltd (CCC) is a not-for-profit volunteer-based international organization based in the UK and dedicated to the conservation of tropical forests and coral reefs. Current CCC project countries include the Philippines, Trinidad & Tobago, and Papua New Guinea.
Additional projects in other countries are currently under development.
