Job opportunities for skilled Boholanos abound in such countries like Canada, and New Zealand., according to Federico Acdal, president of Greenfields International Manpower Services Inc., a licensed recruitment agency.
Greenfields, through the efforts of the PESO pronvincial office headed by Mr. Romulo Tagaan is holding a two-day Job Fair for Boholanos at the provincial capitol on Wednesday and Thursday. The Job Fair is part of the efforts of Bohol Provincial Government thru Governor Erico Aumentado to generate overseas jobs for the Boholanos.
According to Acdal, Boholanos can fill up openings for hotel and restaurant workers for Canada like female housekeeping attendants, female food servers, kitchen helpers, cooks and janitors. Acdal said hundreds of jobs are also available for those experienced in the construction industry like finishing carpenters, cement finishers, construction foremen. They must have at least three years experience.
For New Zealand, the needs are for skilled tradesmen or workers, like aluminum fabricators truck and trailer drivers, welders, heavy duty and auto mechanics, linesmen, painters, etc.
The workers must have an experience of five years in a specific position, the applicants are applying for.
Acdal said applicants must prepare a good resume, detailing the positions that the applicants have worked, job description, and passport size pictures.
The resume with all the requirements (Employment Certification, Training/Seminar, passport copy, NBI) must be included in the CD to be submitted to Greenfields.
