Mayor Joseph Rañola presented his proposal for Renewable Energy Project in Jagna to the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members and to all LGU heads of offices on September 12, 2022, at Goyo Hall, Municipal Building, Jagna.

As we recall Renewable Energy is one of the flagship projects dreamed of by Mayor Rañola to help the Jagnaanons from the high cost of electricity nowadays.

The Mayor discussed the data about renewable energy in the Philippines and procedures on how to attain it. He also presented the different provinces that already have renewable energy farms. He concluded that if they were able to attain it in their place, why not in Jagna?

The Mayor has seen the potential of Jagna for this particular project and plans to realize an LGU-initiated one in the town.

“If this will be realized, we will be the first municipality in the whole province of Bohol more so in the whole Philippines to have renewable energy that is LGU-initiated,” the Mayor said.

He urged and encouraged the Legislative body and all LGU heads to give their genuine support for this endeavor.

Meanwhile, SB members have given their insights and inputs regarding the proposed project of the Mayor and they have given positive feedback about it. They have expressed their opinions as well as their genuine support and cooperation for the benefit of all Jagnaanons.

“The SB has clearly seen that the goal of this project is for the benefit of all Jagnaanons and not for the selfish ambition of anyone. With this, we from the Legislative body will give our full support and strengthen cooperation for the realization of this project,” Vice-Mayor Teofisto Pagar Jr. said.

Present also at the said meeting are the engineers from Airnergy and Renewables Inc. who presented their company and showcased their expertise in constructing such a huge project.

The Mayor was elated and excited to pursue this undertaking for the benefit of all Jagnaanons and for the progress of Jagna which he has always been looking up to.
