A multi-disciplinary Japanese team was here on March 22 to 30 to conduct a field practice on Rapid Rural Appraisal in a rural community in barangay Jimilian.
The 13 Japanese composing the team were personnel from IC Net Limited Company, a consultancy firm based in Japan, and from the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV) Program.
The team was headed by the coordinator of the Training Program on Community Development, Akiko Fujimoto, and the project consultant, Eng'r. Takeaki Tomioka, who was once a JICA Expert on engineering machineries assigned to the Bohol Agricultural Promotion Center (BAPC).
Included in the team from JOCV were experts in child disability, public administration and community development who have been assigned in other Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
