Bohol Sunday Post

Amid dilemmas among implementing entities, Jagna Mayor Exuperio Lloren, who is also the president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Bohol chapter, called on the different sectors to unite in implementing Republic Act 9344 or the Juvenile Justice Welfare Act of 2006.

Lloren issued the call during a basic orientation seminar on the law conducted at the Jagna Central Elementary School Multi-Purpose Building on February 22.

The mayor seeks to unite all the levels of the local government unit (LGU), from the municipal down to the barangay levels and the civil society organizations, educational institutions, parents and students in understanding the provisions and the implementing rules and regulations of RA 9344.

The Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006 covers the different stages involving children at risk and children in conflict with the law (CICL) from prevention to rehabilitation and reintegration.
