By Gregoria A. Tavera
Known for their altruism, a visit to development projects and discussion on municipal planning reunited members of Confederation of Boholanos in US and Canada (Conbusac) with fellow Boholanos in Jagna, during the clinching part of the Sandugo celebration and in the heat of the triennial Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Kalibutan (TBTK) on July 31.
Jagna Mayor Exuperio Lloren shared lunch with the visitors at the municipal hall.
In the occasion, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Gerry Araneta had the opportunity to discuss with the visitors, the development scheme of this municipality and accomplishments.
Araneta also told the visitors that every barangay in Jagna had counter-parted in the development thrusts at their level that helped stimulate the upliftment of the community.
He made an elaborated discussion at the Capt. Goyo Caseñas hall through a PowerPoint presentation.
Conbusac president Carlos Cagaanan, who hails from Lila, told Jagnaanons that taking part in the development of Bohol highlighted their homecoming.
Cagaanan and Conbusac past president Johnny Torralba of Tagbilaran City came to Jagna with nine other Conbusac members to observe the municipality’s Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM).
They visited the municipality’s composting facilities in Carmoli to personally experience one of the vital components of ISWM.
They also shared to Jagnaanons the supports they have poured on provincial projects- -the animal dispersal program with artificial insemination, spruce up of CPG Park in Tagbilaran City and the medical mission.
