I am a 4th year student at Allegheny College, and a double major in Biology and History. However in the field of Biology, specialized in Molecular Biology with a special interest in Physiology, Limnology and Microbiology. In history, however, I focus on French Revolutionary History and the theories of Republicanism and Maratism. I am also a Teacher's Assistant for Ecology class and operate as the laboratory research assistant; I grade student's papers, look over exam questions, grade lab quizzes, and test students on their laboratory skills etc etc.
As of right now, am applying to several medical schools and will be matriculating Medical School proper in Fall of 2008.
Am I happy with what I'm doing?
-------------------------------
I love studying; i love reading, learning. My passion is biology and medical science, however, have a fascination with historical discourse in human civilization, particulary in western civilization. Though there are times when my duties as a full time student, research assistant, and teacher is rather overwhelming, I wouldn't be doing it if I didnt like it. The passion of learning and setting precedent, finding a new causitive agent, bacterial vectors, and ways of control is rather titillating.
On the subject of being a teacher's assistant; I dont mind it. I do what I have to do and dictate grades according to a student's particular strengths and weakness. Am extremely strict and hard towards my students. As much as I enjoy undergraduate college, I am excited to begin 1st year Medical School. Luckily for me, I'll have TB keep me sane for the next 4 years
LOL!!
