Tell Us About Your Lifestyle
« on: October 14, 2008, 10:15:35 PM »
siguradong iba lifestyle niyo jan compare nung nasa pinas pa kayo ...

I am totally dependent with my family for everything I need, it is just handed to me when I asked for it.

Sa Japan --- totally reversed....I learned to be independent, i learn how to cook, wash & iron my clothes, buy groceries, open my own bank account, and i was force to learn how to drive a car because it is a necessity here. Malalayo ang mga offices plus you can not go anywhere without a car especially sa lugar ng bahay ko dito sa Japan Shimohara malayo sa lahat pra siyang subdivision .
My new lifestyle includes the ff:
1. Adapting the american way of life and Japanese life to fit in like ( hindi lahat, yong bad custom nila hindi kasali  dito )
 a. Being on time and making appointment wherever I go.
 b. Being frank, speaking out loud whatever is on my mind.
 c. I like to travel around different states to see the place and to compare how they live there.
  d. I mind my own business american way, i dont indulge in personal gossiping like what other pinoys do even when they are already here.
 e. I use my visa card or personal checking checks to pay everything i buy.  People hardly carry cash here....this is the standard way of paying things here.  In other words, if you use credit card, utang yang....kaya ang mga kano utangero hehehe (tabi tabi po ang tamaan huwag po magagalit!)......they use credit card from buying gas, movie tickets, grocery, auto, houses, traveling, eating at restaurants, everywhere gamit nila yan . Kaya isa na ako sa mga mahilig umutang...which i never did back home.
 ;D
next time ulit, i will think of some more things to add here....
 ;)

I  was a party goer, left and right ang laag. But I was already independent after graduating college. I had a stable job but was not earning enough so I had to squeezed my budget so I could pay  the  apartment, cellphone loads, food and laag's.

Pag abroad naku wala naku night life ( except for occasional laags) pero nag sige na pud ko travel into another countries. I buy what I need (kung maka resist sa temptation into buying what I want). I am still independent, though.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

During undergraduate college, I used to go out every weekends or go out to eat on some days with friends. I am a proud classical dancer (waltz, swing, fox trot, cha-cha etc), I was an avid naturalist. I would go hiking frequently, jogging in the forest, and kayaking.

As of right now, though, I really don't have much of a lifestyle.

My life revolves in waking up at 6 am, getting ready and driving to medical school. I have class at 8am till 5 pm everyday. So pretty much my 'free' time has been spent on reading and covering material for the next day of lecture.

I've grown used to and developed a liking on my study group dates. lol.

Rather geeky, but it keeps me entertained during studies.

I use to work 8 hours a day 6 days a week back in Philippines. I always spend my day off resting or just watching t.v and sometimes visit internet cafe surf the web or sometimes talk to a friend .I always make sure I go church every wednesday and sunday.I work so hard because that time ,I send my niece in college.Kami ra duha nanimpalad sa davao city chasing dreams.Tagsa ra gyud ko ka shopping kay unsaon tipid lagi kay daghan gastusan.I am good about saving money ug budgeting.
Here in U.S I live like a queen.I stay home and just take care of my husband and kids.I made it clear to my family back home nga dili jud ko mag antus ug trabaho diri sa U.S para makapadala kwarta nila unya  isacrifice nako ang husband and family here.Husband and kids is my priority.Dili sad gusto ako bana magwork gyud ko he even said kung mamugos ko iya nalang ko sweldohan. We earn enough money so no need for me to work.I will work if my family here in u.s really need it.
Sa pinas sa una bata pa ko mamaligya mi ug plastic ug puthaw(iron) ipatimbang malipay na makahalin 5 pesos. Here in U.S I always love recycling mostly tin cans I save them in big barrel my husband and I also like magtapok ug mga junk sa among vacant lot.We sold scrap iron, copper wire, tin cans sa junk yard and guess how much we get on it this year nahalinan mi ug $15,000 dollar ,last year $10,000 dako this year kay ang scrap iron ingmahal man.May pera sa basura.
We live a simple life here proud to say wala mi utang.Mahadlok gyud ko mangutang same sad ako husband.Dili ko mahiluna bisan makautang ug 200 pesos murag magkondinar akong kalag hehehhe.
I never buy product with brand.I like shopping here but you always see me in clearance rock.Clearance sale ako favorite paliton.Dili important ang brand namo ang quality. We are always prudent in our money. We are not like the typical american like keeping up with the Jonesess or what they call american dream. We live life sa amo ra sad makaya. We dont really care if we are driving second hand car as long as cash amo gibayad pagpalit. We live like Warren Buffet live simple, avoid debt and live happy.
