wala man ni kahumanan hehehhehe bitaw, depende lang namo ug anus-a mi moundang..wala man gud koy lingaw so nag update lang ko sa akong french kay sa magsigi lang ko puyo sa balay..unya bayaran man mi sa immigration ug moeskwela ka..tagaan ka nila ug allowance for transportation and foods..

bitaw oi, mas maayo man pod ning dili lang ko magpuyo sa balay...kapoy adto skol pero enjoy man pod kay sa magpuyo lang ko dire hehe

Crappy day today. Im stuck at the research lab, been here since 12:30 pm---and its already 11:37 pm. Writing a paper that is due 5:00 pm tomorrow. That and grading some lab quizzes for Organic chemistry class (i am a teacher's assistant in that class). Silly sophmore students making mistakes on their chair conformations.

You were a teacher diay, ate? Did you teach high school or elementary? As for me, I try to operate on the college's honor code, and ive already (from grading previous quizzes) come into contact of students copying each other. I mean, the answers on one quizz were identical, same wording etc. I had to talk to the students about this--and they did admit to it. I failed them outright, and reported them to the college's academic judicial committee. I have little to no pity for those who cheat and collaborate on things, when they were explicitly told by the professor and myself that it was an individual task. Also, on the quizzes, there is a signature clause, where students have to sign and abide by the honor code. The fact that these individuals cheated after I told them not to, was a slap to the face on me. Not only did i have to get a lecture from the professor (who blamed me for the incident, btw, apparently i was too 'lenient')..and this is the same professor who made me do research work despite not telling us that his research grant was revoked!!

But yea, I tried being lenient to students before, and they abuse that relationship. And one thing that i really hate is when the girls try to flirt with me during lab. lol, they think that by flirting with me that ill grade them with leniency. Sad for them, but i grade everyone according to their work and their answer.

Im done grading right now. Out of 37 students: 8 scored over a 90 percentile, 8 scored on the B percentile, 14 had C/C- and 7 failed.

Ate, did you have alot of patience for your students? I think thats one of my flaws, kai i cannot take it when students ask very basic questions redundantly. I get annoyed after the fact that I explain a reaction or the nature of a deutering agent, and still they can't absorb the information. I realize that by this, i cannot work as a professor or as a teacher as a living. I am not endowed with the virtue of patience.

Yes dodong, they say that people who are blessed with extraordinary intelligence don't make good teachers. What is a basic question for you, may not be so basic for everyone else. So, you get frustrated.

I really liked teaching. I had the patience, I think. It felt good to be surrounded by so many young people, eager and hungry for knowledge. You feel young as well, you'll never get into a rut mentally because you're learning new things everyday.

I taught the basic pharmacy courses for freshmen and sophomores. I was a student as well, working towards my Masters. What sealed the deal for me was the 75% tuition fee discount for the teachers. And also, since the Dean was a consultant at UniLab, kaming tanan sa faculty, kanunay ma invite sa mga parties and shows, events sponsored by UniLab. Mao jud to akong favorite, free food!

That was a fun time in my life.

PS. Maglagot pud ko anang mga cheaters, dong. Hate jud na nako.

Pero wala man nako nahuman tong masters, unya karon you definitely need a grad/post-grad under your belt para maka teach. So, I'm planning to enroll in a PharmD program next year puhon maluoy ang ginoo, pero wala man nag offer ug special PharmD program for RPhs ang school dire, the closest one is Univ of Florida, which means ma associate ko sa Gators, the Dawgs worst enemy! wuhuhuhu! :'(

Ikaw dong, what kind of doctor are you planning to be?

Ate, I think its a great idea that you'll enroll for the Pharm.D program, at least that way you can get administrative positions diba? As well, you can teach and boss people around, hahahaha. But seriously, I think you would be good in organization and running things, you already have experience in teaching and your humility in your work is signatory of your high caliber. Mo respect jud ko nimo, te' kai smart ka, pero dili man jud ka mo show. My dad coined the phrase "silent but deadly" (of course he was referring to mom), but in this case it applies to you. hahahahahahah!!

I'm going to attend allopathic medical school in August of 2008, ate. Right now, I'm debating in accepting the regular 4 year M.D track or if I should accept USESOM's 6 year M.D/PhD track. Either way, ill make a decision. My mom wants me to go for the regular 4 year M.D track so i can begin residency earlier, but I'm leaning towards accepting USESOM's M.D/PhD program, though I'll be 28 turning 29 when i graduate. One reason why i plan to proceed with that is that it will guarantee me landing a high profile residency and i want to work in the administrative field someday. I want to run hospitals etc. I'd like to specialize in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology or Emergency Medicine.

It's gonna be a tough one, choosing which one will fit you better. Esp. karon, daghan kaayo ka'g choices. Medical schools are a-calling. Daghan nag lumba to enroll you, dong. Hehehe.

Bisan bata pa ka, dong. And you said, you lack life experience, there's so much about you that miss belle and I admire.

Tinuod dong, you are brilliant. Pero hard-working kaayo ka pud. Daghan kaayo mga brayt nga tawo nga wala'y effort, mga tapulan. You work very hard, ga persevere jud ka. And that's what separates you from other brilliant, young people. You could have taken on a much easier path, but you're choosing something that's gonna be tough for you in the next few years, medical school lisod kaayo na, not only academically, pero physically pud...walang tulugan gyud na.

So, Miss Belle and I are your proud Ates. Not only are you smart, you value hard work. You're young but you know what you want, and you're willing to sacrifice a lot of things to get it. We love you, dodong!

Today was great!!! Went to watch a band called 'The Clarks', they came to our campus today and played outside in the main walk. About 1/3rd of the entire campus was there---great time. It was sunny and breezy today. Thanks to the Lord for giving us a beautiful day.

We went for a ride... gazing at the beautiful fall colors and went to the lake way way far from our town... and had dinner...

i was craving for a prime rib and ended up having a very salty one... :'(

very disappointing but the rest of the meat taste good... the mash potato was superb...

this i took on our way to Cadillac where we had our dinner...
