I am not much of a shopper except groceries and well, shoes!

But if I get to go with my shopper aunt, of course I go hunt for the baratos or clearance items. It's nice gani to buy Christmas tree after Christmas but I still have a decent Christmas tree that I never got to put up this Christmas.

Kung mo click ni, dako ni nga sapi nga makapundo ta ug funds sa Tubag Bohol for a noble cause with less risk & effort. Also who knows this would bring us fortune pohon para dili na ta mo langyaw kay mingaw, unya brain-drain na ang Bohol, looy ang nangabilin.

I am well experience in international trading ug gi sayangan ko ani nga opportunity kung atong palabyon kay every member of Tubo is a representative to the country he/she is staying, so ikaw ang representative diha sa California for example. I have already sent PM to other TuBo members in Europe and they are willing to participate in this experiment.

I will make a plan and I am determined. Mag coordinate ra unya ko nimo by Feb or Mid of this Lucky year 2008.

Possible man kung may contribution ang tanan in terms of 'lihok' and I have seen this spirit of cooperation in the recent EB in Tagbilaran. Communication element is OK (check), physical element is proven OK (check), shipping element is OK, I will take care of that. The only missing element is the supply/merchandise. Please think of something cheap in your place and list it.

We will see after my plan is finalized.

Your thread/idea encouraged me to pursue on the realization of my long imagined theory.

We can therefore name this venture/experiment after your thread "We are Bargain Hunters. Are you?"

This is just a sort of a fun activity at the same time beneficial/fruitful.

By the way, my objective is to trade 1st hand products which are already depreciated in your host country but still expensive in other places.

It is just a sort of relaxation, while you are shopping, you may note some items which are cheap and list it.

We will organize all the data in later stage.

Sure, the reason I made my thoughts open is for all Boholanos to join in this experiment, learn the lessons and put it into practice.

Kung dili ta mo venture ug trading, ang kwarta sa Bohol nag libot-libot lang ug sometimes mo drain pagawas, specially nga naa nay daghang foreign firms & establishments sa Bohol.

I encourage all OFW's to put some savings in their bank in Bohol & to prepare themselves for the reintegration.

My vision, is someday Boholanos will go abroad for relaxation or business trip. Dili kay manarbaho.

Actually, we are not the only ones who think about this idea.

It is already practiced long time back, like Amazon is basically doing right now.

There are several Logistics Companies such as Expeditors.com who engaged in such activity servicing giants such as Wall Mart. One of their executives visited our company and showed us their humble beginnings. Their business also started from this concept.

Howerver, our advantage right now is that we Boholanos are scattered all over the globe. We invade every country, being a viahero in our blood. Suwaji ug gawas karon unja singgit ug â€œMga Kaliwat ni Dagohoy!â€, di ba naay mo duol nimo ug mangutana, asa diay ka sa Bohol. I mean look at this advantage, look at this vast pool of resources. Dili na ta kinahanglan mag tukod ug office kay naa na mo diha. Dili na ta kinahanglan mag rent ug warehouse, you can use your back-yard. Most of all, I believe in the competitive caliber of the Boholano professional. We donâ€™t need to invest a lot in order to start.

I talked to Mike months back and he is supporting this idea.

Korek! Most of the stuff are manufactured in China, India, Phils., or the Latin America. Sometimes at Macy's, they have stuff reduced to 50% and then get additional 40% pa jud. If you look at it, wow, so cheap but you are of course right Maring; naa na silay ganansya ana!

Talking about clearance sales, I just actually shop online an hour ago for warm shirts/sweaters/pants. Prices from $39.98 and now $9.99, I can live with that. But then again with my size 00, it's always clearance sale, can't beat that. On the other hand, if I'm desperate and needed to get certain apparel for some formal event, cheap or pricey in my size, I have to get, rarely happen though. I still believe clothes are not good investments. Few years of using those clothes, I toss them to LBC box and send it to my cousins or friends in Bohol. At least I made them happy.

oh i've been to ross this afternoon 'coz i was looking for a suit for my professional development class. guess what, i bought a 2-piece suit that was on clearance for $9.99 only. i couldn't believe that it's so cheap. i went to TjMaxx right across the street, and their one-piece (on clearance too) is worth $69.99.

it might be tiring, but it is worthy to look up those clearance racks. you can find some great deals.

If you have time and patience to leaf each and every item in the clearance racks at Ross, makakita jud hinuon ka'g barato! Yes, Ams, chada diha sa Ross especially ilang shoes. At one time, na in love kaayo ko sa Nine West shoes na gi display didto sa Macy's. Of course I couldn't afford it so wala jud nko napalit. Then I went to Ross and they had the same pairs at 1/3 the price! Wa lang gihapon nko napalit kay na guilty ko diha na koy duha ka new pairs - all gifts.

Hala, i keep jud na kay mo taas pa na value ana! Ganahan bya ko'g garage sale ilabi na kanang daghan books and kitchen stuff. One time, nakalabay mi'g garage sale chada tan awon ilang mga baligya so ning hunong mi. Naka boxes pa jud ilang gipang baligya. Dihay Chafing Dish na sa una pa jud ko gusto mopalit. Daw beh, asking price kay 10 dollars which was so cheap na. Try ko if ok ra ba 5 dollars, ingon man dretso, "sure! what's that for anyway?" akong gi explainan, ingon sila, ah ok! heheheh
