I used to deliver balak in almost all occasions in our town. Bisag kapoyan ko, kuhaon man ko, so moadto ko sa mga baryo to deliver a poem.

One particular introduction that I used to say was this:

"Una sa tanan, pangayoon ko ang libo-libo ka libong pasaylo,
kay basin kining akong balak mahitumpawak
ngadto sa bung-aw ug latid sa kasaypanan...
Kay dili man ako sama ni kanhing Presidente Carlos P. Garcia
kansang mga pulong makapatandog ug makapakurog sa tagsa-tagsa ka balatian...
Kay ako usa lamang ka sinuyop sa lilo, inanod sa sulog, dinuyan sa balod -
ug ania nahidagsa sa mahal ninyong atubangan..."

Effect: Daghang napagaw ug katawa. Ako maoy gibasol. :)

oiii grabe diay ka ka loyal sa imong mga balak ky moadto man jud sa mga barrio pra lng mo balak..aheheh
