Today's celebration of the Philippine Independence Day is meaningless. After 1898, the Americans came, then the Japanese ruled over us.

Our history is riddled with errors.
Romans 10:9

What is celebrated on June 12 is the declaration of Philippine independence. So maybe what we are celebrating is the gall of our forefathers to celebrate what did not (and to some, still doesn't) in fact exist.
