Before leaving town, log on the Internet and get directions from the airport to your destination. Those maps are usually more reliable and more understandable than directions you get from the rental car counter.

You are 98.99% right. Though I still can remember when my printed map from MapQuest send us to a deadend, middle of nowhere squared road that stomped us for almost an hour. An hour of misguided trip sucks when you just want to get there an hour ago.
