I see. It became an issue sometime in the 90s though.

when was this taken Scott? it was under renovations when I stayed there in 2006.

I really don't have any idea. The former PR Manager said, I overheard, that the sand they have in their cove is gikan sa gigaling ug gi pinu-pinu nga batu.

when was this taken Scott? it was under renovations when I stayed there in 2006.

a few years back. before the major renovations were done in time for the ASEAN Summit last year :)

Actually wa na kawata but they bought it from some certain people which was against our natural resources laws (kuno)

well, whoever those people are, certainly made lots of money from it! It would have have been nice if some of the money were put into the benefits of Anda.

I don't exactly know if they call it floating chapel. But I must say that it's a wonderful place for weddings and all. The backdrop is the turquoise water of Mactan! loverly!

beautiful pictures scott.
The ones I had were most of my bestfriend's wedding. As Matron of Honor at that time, my attention was fully into the wedding. I regreted that I missed taking photos more around the resort. Seeing these photos made me appreciate Shang more, thanks a lot Scott.

That beach photo at Shang is also nice. Ahh, now I remember, the color of the water is not inviting. I get scared swimming dark blue waters. I guess that was the reason I judt didn't bother nor have any plans of going back to that resort again, except for any special occasions.
The rest of your snapshots, what a beauty, especially the ones at night. Capturing those bright lights in the evening are pretty tricky. And you did it well, great job. Thank you, Scott.
