My Wife Johde had a miscarriage

Last month, I shared with you brothers and sisters that my wife is bearing our 4th child.

Unfortunately, she had a miscarriage yesterday night 13th of January 2008. The baby you longed to be maninoys/maninays was examined with no heartbeat at 7 weeks and the doctors are forced to do the procedure.

Johde my wife is now at the hospital and recuperating from the anaesthesia. Hope she did not experience anaesthesia awareness.

I am thankful for this wonderful website, to Mike and anticipating your prayers for the quick recovery of Johde.

Today morning, I am thankful to the Creator that I have 3 wonderful kids.

Dear Macky,

I am so sorry for your loss.  I actually don't know what to say.  When Lumine had a miscarriage, she and her husband were so devastated.  I hope and pray that Johde is not hurting from the procedure and that she's not emotionally devastated by this loss.  We always say that God has reasons for things that are happening in our lives...  My prayers for Johde for her speedy recovery.  God bless you and your family, Macks!

I fully understand what you're going through. Last year, my wife also had a miscarriage, and the child was supposed to be our fourth. When we found out that she was pregnant, we were initially overwhelmed with anxiety as my wife was already 42 then, our eldest daugter was 14, middle son was 13 and our youngest was 6... As it was an unexpected baby, we also had financial concerns. But just as the initial apprehension had turned into a celebration, with my only son hoping for a younger brother, my wife lost the baby. He cried the most... But even at his young age, he slowly came to understand that God has a reason for everything, including the untoward events that befall us... We just have to trust that He is in control and knows what is best for us.

i know exactly how it feels, i lost one  too and almost lost my life going through it. it was an awful experience but everything happens for a reason.

Our sincerest thanks to you our friends.

Your prayers gave us the strength.

We somehow have accepted the fate considering my wife is 41 and pregnancy at that age is critical. What we found difficult is finding the right words to explain to our kids, specially my middle child Mark, 7 who is anxious to have a brother playmate. When we came home from the hospital today, we can read a big question mark from their faces.

I am not superstitious but reviewing the event, I found a significance of number 13.

- It happened on 13 Jan.
- I went to the Enternet Cafe to upload a big file in booth 13.
- The examination was 1:00 PM, which is 1300 hrs.

I don't believe in ghost, though I believe that we have a soul. Last night a strange thing happened to my cell phone. It made a 'toot' sound and light come flashing. I checked, batteries are full and no miss calls or messages. It happened several times last night in random intervals. I don't know if I should consider that as a goodby message from my unborn child.

Sir Macky sorry to hear about your loss, makafeel jud ko sa gibati ninyo karon kay naagian na nako last 2005, yet dili pa jud mawala sa ahong hunahuna, ilabi na jud ug makita nako ang bata nga kaedad atong akong nakuha.  5 weeks na unta to, kaso lang wala man madevelop ang heart so gi D&C jud ko.  gableeding man ko, maong gida ko sa hospital, pag ultrasound kay wala man jud heartbeat, ako pang giingnan ang doctor basin ug nasayop llang ang ultrasound.  gidad an jud kog 4 kabook doctors sa ahong gihigdaan para iconfirm nga wala jud heart ang bata, aron lang motoo ko kay pwerti man nahong hilak.  aduna na unta ko'y fil am pero wala man itugot.  basin sa sunod na pod. 

Bitaw, sorry jud kaayo.  Naa'y laing plano ang Ginoo para ninyong managtiayon.  Please yield everything to HIM.
