The song of Gabriel in sweet melody

[Lorenzo]

AT the time of thy deathless falling asleep, O Birth-giver of God, mother of Life, the clouds were snatching up the Apostles in the air; though scattered abroad in the world, they stood beside thy immaculate body, and while they fulfilled the funeral offices with reverence, they raised the song of Gabriel in sweet melody,

Hail full of grace, Virgin mother unwedded, the Lord is with thee.

Together with them, as he is thy son and our God, plead with him that he save our souls.

Male Choir "Accordance": Rejoice, o Virgin (6)

Hail full of grace, Virgin mother unwedded, the Lord is with thee.

Together with them, as he is thy son and our God, plead with him that he save our souls.
