Bride who attempts suicide rescued

DRESSED in her wedding gown, a 22-year-old woman in Jilin province, China tried to end her life recently by jumping off a building, but was saved in the nick of time.

Guo Zhongfan, a community officer, grabbed and pulled her dangling body back into the seven-storey residential building in Changchun, in a nail-baiting rescue witnessed by many.

According to local media, the woman attempted to commit suicide after her boyfriend of four years broke up with her, just as they were making plans to get married.

The woman did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

seriously, we can imagine the depths of despair this 22-year-old had gone into.  being jilted is bad enough, but a jilted bride-to-be with a ready wedding gown?  it set me asking whether she had the emotional and psychological support of her family and friends, if at all they knew what she was going through.  for all i know, all she needed was a listening ear and some assurances that the guy who jilted her too late into the relationship isn't worth it.  truly, a cad who is careless and irresponsible about commitments isn't worth it.

way modus operandi tuod ang mga laki nga hikogero.  once, i was shaken by the story of a young cebuano priest the day after he was ordained.  all the way to the run-up to his ordination, he was gripped by the thought that he was not able to do anything about a guy who jumped off a ship on the cebu-cagayan de oro route in the dead of night.  

ang iyang gisakitan kay tarong pa silang gaistorya.  mora gyod kunog way problema.  unya, nikalit lag huso sa iyang relo ang laki, gihatag niya ang relo, dayon layat sa barko.  bisag unsaon ug search and rescue, wa na gyod.  

that tragedy i guess marked this priest for life.  sa way lipodlipod, wa na gyod hinoon siyay duda nga angay diay siyang mapari.  malooy ko kay mora siyag nag-"survivor's guilt".
