Old crush in the workplace

Dear Madam Rose,

I have just started in a my new work when I found out my old crush from way back high school is also working in the same institution but assigned in another department.

I never had the courage back then to express my feelings.

Now, more than 15 years later, I met my crush again and still single. However, I dared not ask my crush for any present relationship.

I cannot say I am still free but the moment I saw my crush the memories of my unexpressed feelings of so long ago just suddenly came rushing back.

I am afraid.

I chanced upon her at the canteen. She was alone. Our eyes met for a brief moment and she smiled. She still recognized me. Then she walked away with her food tray. I kept on throwing stolen glances at her while she ate alone in a table at the corner. The canteen was crowded and I was half-afraid, half-hoping that there would be no other available table left by the time I paid the cashier so that I could have the excuse to ask her is she could share her table with me.  We have a lot of catching up to do. All those years.
