New Brunswick Health Minister Mary Schryer announced today that immigrants will no longer have to wait three months after moving to the province to become eligible for provincial healthcare coverage.

Currently, immigrants are eligible provincial healthcare coverage upon their arrival in most Canadian provinces. However, in some provinces newcomers have to wait three months in order to become eligible. In the meantime, they can purchase private health insurance for the three month waiting period.

The change announced by New Brunswick today will benefit all immigrants, especially those newcomers who cannot afford private health insurance for three months. - CIC News
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
