Wishing

Wishing

The world is full of wishing-folks,
Who sit and dream and smile,
And never seem to get around
To doing things worthwhile.

They all would like the praise that goes,
With reputations grand -
But do not care to pay the price,
To earn such praise from man.

And yet - there's no way else to win,
Success and worthwhile praise,
Than rolling up the sleeves - and then,
To toil thru endless days.
