The Blue Pen

[Lorenzo]

Pen of mine
how long we have been together
through stressful days
writing notes
capturing the professors words
in stride

Pen of mine, writing examinations
on my hand
pen of mine taking quizes
on my hand

Pen of mine, claiming home in my book bag (rugged)
Oh dear blue pen, you did you job.
But today of all days, you failed on me.

You ran out of ink.
On pen of mine.
Now you are in the trash can.

Hello, black pen.
