anyway, silence has layers of meaning. if it's her YES is what you're looking for, do more. don't let this muteness do the working for you...in real love, everything is audible and visible. what you can't see, you'll hear it; what you can't hear, you'll see it. in a beginning of love, you have no business of translating silence into YES. even in long relationship, the domain of love offers no room for assumptions. love should always have a way to show itself. even in silence, loving YES should manifest itself; and it's only those who have known the difference between a Yes that's NO and Yes that's Yes, can do the risk of interpreting silence as yes and save one's face from being slapped. hehehe

Silence is a bane to a man, imho.

I dated a girl who was in my history class before, i used to make jokes to her saying I love staring at the back of your neck, since you like to talk to me with your head facing my direction. She laughed really hard, very geeky laugh. That attracted me i guess. lol.

For a while I courted her in the classroom--very serious kaayo ning bajiha. In regards to work, very serious. When we went to class--i always observed how very sharp dressed she was. Always in professional female attire. Dress shirt, fit khaki pants, and black heels. She wore chanel perfume.

I asked her out to many coffee dates, then i asked her out to our first night date. In mid date, she started getting quiet. For me, i felt akward how she wasn't talking just staring. I had to maintain the conversation with jokes--etc etc. By the ending of the date, i wasn't feeling the chemistry.

So, when I walked her back to her dorm--i thought that this was going to be it. The final date. Kai ka ingoon ko we had no chemistry.

So I moved on. To find out later on by friends that she liked me. I asked her in later months, why she never told me she liked me,--why she kept on being silent around me.

Her response killed me, "I get like that. I really liked you."

So, yes, message to the women out there. If you like a man, tell him.
