Walay nakita nga problema si Negros Oriental Governor Roel Ragay Degamo kung ang Negros Oriental pabilin nga mahisakop sa Region 7. Kini iyang gibutyag sa dinhang siya mitambong virtually sa
4th Regional Development Council -Central Visayas (RDC 7) meeting didto sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo sa niaging Martes, December 6. Ang RDC gipangulohan ni Bohol Governor  Erico Aristotle Aumentado.

Daghan nang balaudnon karon ang naka-pending na sa Senado ug Kongreso para ibalik ang Negros Island Region (NIR) diin ang Negros Occidental kuhaon sa Region 6 ug ang Negros Oriental kuhaon sa Region 7.

"It should not be done hastily because there are a lot of issues that we are going to take here. For example, the cultural differences between Ilonggos and Bisaya (Cebuano-speaking)," sumala pa ni Governor Degamo.
