Police are now hunting for a fellow policeman who shot dead inside the PNP Cortes headquarters a drunken man Monday night.

The suspect is one Police Officer-2 Apolinar Galapin y Moring, 37, a native of Candijay but now residing in Cortes town. He is also police investigator of the Cortes police station.

According to PO1 Ranillo Lomonsod, PO2 Galapin together with SPO1 Nicolito Longgakit responded to a call from the Barangay De La Paz tanod outpost around 11 p.m. regarding a drunk man with two lady companions who were also intoxicated.

The responding policemen brought the three suspects to the Cortes PNP Station.

PO1 Lomonsod said he noticed PO2 Galapin, who was himself drunk, had an altercation with the intoxicated victim, later identified as one Leo Lagrada, 29, a resident of barangay De La Paz, when they entered the police station.          

The heated exchange between PO2 Galapin and Lagrada continued until the two other policemen went out of the station.

According to PO1 Lomonsod, he was talking to the two female companions of Lagrada when he heard a single gunshot coming from the police office.

Pero in this case dili lang kay nakainum ba or unsa, from my understanding, murag kining police kay nag-abusar man guro sya sa iyang armas.

These police officers shouldn't be exempted from the law.  They should never, ever be allowed to report to work drunk!  That should absolutely be unacceptable.  There should be a command responsibility in this.  Lapsed naman gud ang judgement kon maka inom kay madugangan na ka hambog ba!

Ashton, I wasn't kidding!  Busa lagi, dapat i stop na kining ilang mga kalaki. I know man about police officers mag inom kay daghan ko'g kagupa na mga police but this should be stopped na.  We are in a new era na.  Di na pwede tong pareho pa sa una na mag inom2x ug bahal while ga duty!  Tinuntong dako na!  Di na mo salir ni Duterte!

Most the time when i attend PNP events these guuys are always sharing a bottle are few even in uniform.

I have never been around an irrate and drunk policeman while on duty but i seen one drunk off duty go bizzerck lose his stack and all and it was so out of control and not necessary at the time.

So fake and such as an excuse. at the time as he had said he wants his kids all together but at the same time he is a womanizer?

If some one talks dronk I ussualy think that the truth speaks first,
When under intoxicants.

I feel bad for both the victim and the policeman but police are trained in not to be to over confident.

Drunkards are also unpredictable, depressed, and when drunk bad often in an I do not care state of mind.
