This salt making tradition in Alburquerque Bohol is very old and unique, and relies on all local resources and skills to build the salt kitchens, make the clay pots used to boil the brine, build all the tools of the trade and prepare the salt using methods handed down for generations. Our project will help document this artisanal tradition for future generations and promote and celebrate this unique craft.

The project is funded by the British Museum's Endangered Material Knowledge Program and supported by the Central Visayan Museum Association.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
