In the wake of this week's bombing at the Boston Marathon, you might think our faith in humankind would falter. Instead, we were reminded that there are good people out there who go out of their way to help others. Remember the brave acts of Boston's cowboy-hat-wearing hero, not to mention former Patriots player Joe Andruzzi? Well, those good guys aren't alone. After a week of tragic news and brave heroes, we've compiled a gallery of photographic evidence that kind souls are everywhere. Check it out, then pass it on to a friend who needs his or her faith in humanity reaffirmed.

This soldier, who helped a woman cross a flooded street.

The kid who brought his crossing guard hot chocolate and a doughnut …

And this kid, who handed out pillows and blankets to homeless people one cold night.

The person who left their umbrella out for a snoozing kitty cat.

Whoever left these "free wishes" at the fountain in this mall.

This wonderful human being, who put up a rain cover for a stranger who left their car window open.

This guy, who believes in giving people choices.

This kind-hearted cop, who stopped traffic to help this wet and shivering pooch.

This woman, who shared her umbrella with this old man.

Whoever left this box of food out for homeless people.

This kind soul, who set up this charging station in New York City during Hurricane Sandy.

These concert-goers, who made crowd surfing an experience for everyone.

The owner of this Subway sandwich shop, who offers free food for the homeless once a week.

beautiful.  i made the right choice as an intergalactic alien.  i chose to stay on earth to be with humanity.
