PNoy vows to uphold PH territory

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - China reiterated its commitment to have its territorial dispute with the Philippines resolved peacefully and diplomatically, reaffirming the deeply rooted friendship between the Philippines and China that spans centuries.

Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Ma Keqing said both sides “should demonstrate political wisdom to meet each other halfway” to resolve the dispute in the South China Sea.

the distance of scarborough shoal a.k.a. bajo de masinloc to the nearest coast of china in hainan province is 840 kilometers.  halfway is 440 kilometers.  so leave bajo de masinloc (220 kilometers from zambales) alone.

I like that, that kind of half-way. But not half-way as in tunga tas territory. That should be no way! Because in the first place it's not theirs. It used to be a playground of both Philippines and U.S. military exercises and China didn't care about it then. So why now? 

Meeting halfway (whatever the Chinese ambassador means) looks suspiciously like a Chinese victory...

I agree, no matter what, the Philippine side should not relinquish control to the islands to the Chinese government.
