Chlamydia cannot make their own ATP, because they are obligate intracellular organisms that cause mucosal infections. There are 3 types of Chlamydia:

1) Chlamydia Trachomatis

2) Chlamydia Pneumoniae

3) Chlamydia Psittaci


TREATMENT: For all forms, the DOC (Drug of choice) is ERYTHROMYCIN & TETRACYCLINE
