There should be a tag somewhere on the rug with cleaning instructions. Generally, if something says washable, it means machine washable.
Go to the and look for your rug. The larger ones have to be washed in a large commercial washer. If you do the smaller ones at home, I would wash two at a time to keep the washer balanced.
