The education minister has revealed that new school builds will be the main casualty in a bid to save hundreds of millions of pounds.

To avoid large-scale job losses, Caitriona Ruane intends to shift £41m from the school building "capital" budget to pay instead for services and staffing.

Job losses are still expected.

At least £10m has been set aside to pay for redundancies over the next two years.

The plans are outlined in the department's budget plans for the period 2011/12 to 2014/15.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
