When talking to my friends (sa Bohol) - and having seen quiet a few world-class airports - mas mo pabor bitaw jud ko nga ang airport is at least an hour away from Tagbilaran or Panglao... say, Catigbian or Sagbayan. Airport bitaw sa Hongkong gibalhin jud didto sa Lantau Island kay arang kahadlok kung tua duol sa syudad. Simbako-simbako lang. New Orleans was once a victim of an airline disaster kay didto jod sa mga subdivision ka crash ang airplane. Nalibat siguro tong driver. I mean, if one can ever imagine Bohol becoming a future metropolis (bwahaha  in my dreams, but who says it can't happen), an airport in Tagbilaran or in nearby town is not so ideal.

Bitaw, sa tinuod lang (but still a personal opinion) Panglao is what it is - a foreigners' destination - not only because of its pristine waters or what-have-you, but also a favorite because of its quiet, paradise-like environ (tranquil) very much like that of Tahiti or Fiji (adto ra god mo'g Nature Island kay mora jod kag tuas taliwa sa South Pacific). Butangi'g airport, hmmmm, di ba hasta mga gangis ug mangloy, syokoy ug amahong... mangita na pog laing paraiso. And foreigners as well.

Aron way lalis ibutang ang New Bohol airport sa Ubay...Labong adunay dakong yuta ug existing airport sa ubay....hehehe diba mabuang nasad ni si chatto ug relampagos ug paningkamot nga madayon ang panglao airport.

Dili na lang idayon ug tukod ang airport sa Tagbilaran kay duol ra man ang Cebu.

adto nalang na itukod ang airport sa maribojoc or di gani sa loon. pwede sad sa balilihan.

It does not not matter where...they can have it in the politicians front yard for all we care,as long as naay katugpahan and get to our destination.

Good news , indeed! Perhaps when I come back to Bohol and bring my beloved, it will be to a new bohol airport!

Panglao is still the best location for the new Bohol airport, according to DOTC.
I believe the only benefit we get from the oppositors of having the airport in Panglao is academic discussion.
We can read their comments about projections, the feasibility studies, etc. all year long. But at the end of the day the stark, naked truth remains the same: the people of Bohol badly, longingly, desparately need a new airport.

No need to have an airport in Bohol. Its so near to Cebu International Airport.

Bohol needs a larger airport to acomodate the large influx of tourists into our province.

Iloilo Province's population is almost equal to that of Bohol Province ; they have a new airport.

Bohol, too, requires a larger, newer, Bohol International Airport.
