President Benigno Aquino is so busy he doesn’t have time to talk with his girlfriend, Malacañang said Friday.

Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda made the remark a day after Mr. Aquino’s girlfriend, Valenzuela Councilor Shalani Soledad, denied rumors that they have broken up.

“The President said that they have been very busy and they have not had the chance to talk to each other,” Lacierda said.

A Facebook blog sent Malacañang reporters in a frenzy on Friday when it said Mr. Aquino and Soledad have already ended their relationship.
