Does praying in front of others terrify you?

Jesus promised that "where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20). Praying together is an opportunity to enter into the presence of God in a unique and powerful way. But for many, praying together has become a lost art.

not at all.  i even have the feeling that i terrify others when i pray.

When you pray, you shouldn't really care what others think of you or react. Prayer is between you and God and in cases, leading a prayer session amongst people of similar faith.

The beauty of a prayerful faith is not being embarrassed or 'shut down' by opposition.

That's the beauty of Faith and a prayerful relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

It doesn't terrify me but it makes me feel self conscious,because sometimes when I pray I open my mouth like I am talking to someone.

That is a natural feeling, all feel that. We are all imperfect and thus the natural inclination of self conscious thought comes to mind. One has to break that.
