Best Practices Announcement:

1. It is better to click on the REPLY Button or the Quick Reply Button than hit on the Quote button, which always causes a duplicate content.

2. Should you use the Quote option instead of the REPLY option, do not quote the entire article or post as this will result to duplicate content. Google, Yahoo, Microsoft Search Engines would penalize a website with sitewide duplicate content. Edit your quote in such a way that you are only commenting on a particular paragraph or phrase, NOT the entire thread.

3. If you choose Quote instead of REPLY and there are pictures in that post, please be reminded that doing so would grab all the pictures and all the pictures are being reloaded over and over again depending on the number of times the page is being viewed. So, just quote the picture or certain pictures you want to comment on, NOT the entire batch of pictures because a quote with all the pictures in it will slow down the website when it is reloaded.

Each time a page is reloaded, it costs a bandwidth resource.

As Tubag Bohol grows bigger in content and page visitors, we need to manage bandwidth consumption in the best way we can, thus this best practice announcement is being posted. It is like turning off lights when we are not using them to save power and avoid expensive electric bill from BOHECO.

Thank you.

Okay, Mike!  This makes sense! hehehe

The quick reply is intended to make a reply without the features of the REPLY. Those who want to use the features associated with REPLY must then just click REPLY.
