I don't know where it starts but it flows through (and this is not in geographical order because I'm not sure which comes first) Catigbian, Balilihan, Antequera, Maribojoc, and Cortes.

Purportedly, from what I've heard, it is named Abatan because it used to be a place where people would meet (abat) fishing boats and commercial vessels.

There are some lapses in the film.  Some are technical (e.g. miscues in the sound editing), some are with the story development (e.g. a contrived conflict with the prodigal father and a patched-up, hardly credible reconciliation), and some with the "acting" of the extras in it (both over- and total absence of acting talent).  Since the film was assisted by Japanese producers, it also glosses over the atrocities of the Kempeitai and the Japanese forces here in the Philippines.  (Try watching it after or before The Great Raid; also starring Cesar Montano. )

However, it is still worth watching and much better than I expected it to be.  Juliana Palermo was a pleasant surprise and Rebecca Lusterio was, again, in her element.
